ABOUT
We imagine the peninsula as a framework for friends and acquaintances to build their own Bungalows on their own part of the terrain - occasionally or daily mixing with the economists, artists, climate and sustainability scientists, thinkers and re- searchers who are here on temporary ‘residencies’ in one of the Residency Bungalows.
We see our future neighbours as a eclectic mix of those who return every year to their bungalow with their guests and their families to participate in building a long lasting relationship with the local community and those seeking a more focused work- place through the ‘Residency’.
We hope to create a place where you might fall into an inspiring conversation on your way to one of the beaches, or over by the decayed tennis court where a writer is slightly ahead against the climate scientist, or near the open air kitchen-lab where a visiting chef is exploring new ways to use locally grown produce with local students - or you chose to retire to your own terrasse in the sunset with the fishermen’s catch of the day on the grill.
Pointe Limbé is a framework. A place where you can isolate yourself in your own place nested in this incredible beauty, or participate in one of the sustainable development projects we hope the Residency will launch in the surrounding areas.

Final Renders
The site is located Pointe Limbé, in North Haiti. The topography of the land has a 40 metres elevation from the top of the site to the beaches. There are seven beaches in total and the total size of the plot is 59 acres.
Topography and Beaches
The masterplan strategy is divided into three phases. Phase one focuses on the Northeast tip of the coast and includes a land survey, basic infrastructure and landscaping, initial planning of community areas and walkways, placement of buildings etc. Phase two includes continuing construction of buildings and infrastructure, while phase three includes finalizing landscaping as well as community areas.

Due to the nature of the bungalow design and through our strategic use of the sloping topography, we were able to create a sense of privacy for each bungalow.

The design of the bungalows is a modular hexagonal shape, that can be expanded in order to accommodate extra space.

Final Renders
The final plan is made up of six 20 m2 modules. The interior space is composed of three modules and the outdoor space of three modules as well. This layout also allows for the possibility to expand the bungalow by adding another bedroom between the arrival deck and the kitchen and dining module.
