ABOUT

The Guinness Quarter will support a community based around a live/work model with highly functional, flexible open spaces and an activated central plaza.

A unique district which acts as an exemplar for the growing trends towards a blurring of the workplace, living and community boundaries; creating environments that support a range of experience and opportunities and that match the values and lifestyles of the people using them.

In a changing environment the Storehouse will continue to function as the dynamic heart of the scheme, both as a destination and a key identifying landmark.

Flexibility and adaptability are embedded within the design to ensure the scheme is resilient to changing occupier trends and fundamental shocks like Covid-19. This is expressed through increased floor to floor heights facilitating flexibility in the building use, embedding adaptable technology and offering spaces within a space such as retail that co-locates with cafes and multipurpose / townhall areas that can be opened to the public. The scale, design and adaptability of open spaces and green spaces throughout the scheme is also key.

Strategy

We are leveraging the thought leading research and practical application unique to our team and capabilities, to enshrine boundary pushing social, economic and environmental sustainability and innovative practice throughout the scheme and the public realm as an expression of the Guinness legacy. Creating a socially sustainable new community and also a district of striking architectural excellence.
